Using an antique Vandercook Letterpress machine, I explored color and shape interaction. With over 75 variations, no single print is the same. I hand carved 6 linoleum shapes and hand mixed 6 rubber based inks. The tactile process of carving and printing allowed for unexpected mistakes and surprises. Vibrant color palette and layered shapes created various compositions with the richness and texture of a hand pulled letterpress print.
